Metagalactic-Guardians

Backstory:

You are one of the Metagalactic Guardians agency, whose core duty is to protect their world from a highly intelligent alien race that is constantly sapping out the energy source from all the planets in the galaxy, the 'aetherion,' that binds all of existence together.

Prototype Premise:

The agency picks up a signal that indicates the operation of the aliens on a nearby planet, where they are extracting aetherions. 

As one of the highly skilled agents of the Metagalactic Guardians, you have been sent out on a solo mission to gather intel to help the commandants decide the next course of action. But to get to this planet, you need to navigate through a dense asteroid field using the wormhole, Varasato Route 011361, and collect floating aetherion orbs to help stabilize your ship as you make your way to this planet.

This is the first prototype of the game concept, and a lot of mechanics and ideas are still being explored at this stage. This gameplay is one of many interesting concepts that the full (undisclosed) game narrative presents, and there is so much to unpack!

With more refinement, the concepts will get more and more polished, and eventually, financial support can be sought to help develop a fully playable vertical slice for the game.

The trailer presented in this project was the first proof of concept that was created to test out the idea. A lot of the content showcased in the trailer would be taken in a more refined and polished direction as more works are being done on the project.
